The Attacks are Getting More Desperate, More Shameful

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

Pittsburgh, PA - Utterly desperate, that’s all I can say.  First, Nancy Pelosi attacked Keith for working for a small law firm in Pittsburgh that helped a company that employs 7,500 people in Southwestern Pennsylvania create more jobs.  Then the far-left SEIU leadership came in to try and save their colleague’s political career with another false attack.  Now the liberal Democrat leadership in Washington apparently believe we, the people of Southwestern Pennsylvania, are so gullible that we will be fooled into believing that Keith wants to send jobs to China.  Why do they make this accusation?  Because Keith worked for a law firm that partnered with another law firm overseas, 20 years ago, when he was a young 28-year-old associate straight out of law school.  Yep...that's the best they got...   It’s insulting to the voters of Pennsylvania that this is the discourse Congressman Critz decides to have when so many people are struggling and so many problems need to be solved.

Jobs are being outsourced and plants are closing, and it’s the failed economic policies of President Obama and Congressman Critz that have made America so uncompetitive.  We just learned today that there have been 43 straight months of above 8% unemployment, and that for every one person that was hired this month, four Americans simply gave up looking.  That is the Congressman Critz legacy, and we simply can’t afford any more of this failure.

The good news is, it’s now overwhelmingly apparent just how desperate Congressman Critz and his liberal friends really are to save his political career.  Should we be surprised?  No, but it’s still disappointing.  And unfortunately for them, this desperate claim has already been proven ridiculous by non-partisan and even left-leaning organizations.  When the same attack was used back in 2010, the Associated Press labeled the attack as “one of the wildest claims of the 2010 campaign season,” and FactCheck.org rated the attack “blatantly false.”

It’s pretty simple, when you have a record of failure that you can’t run on, when you stand for the exact same policies that have failed to create jobs in this Obama economy, and when your opponent fights for the principles and policies necessary to create jobs and save the middle class, you resort to embarrassingly desperate attacks and hope your constituents are gullible enough to be fooled into voting for you.  Unfortunately for Congressman Critz, the people of Southwestern Pennsylvania will not be fooled, and his bitter cling to power will soon come to an end.

Oh, by the way, that company I mentioned in the beginning that Keith’s involvement with led to the first desperate attack, its PAC has donated significant amounts to the DCCC.  So it’s only natural that Congressman Critz will want to denounce and refuse all funding for his campaign coming from the DCCC (over $2 million).  Think he'll do it?  Don’t bet on it.

"A wise and frugal Government, which shall restrain men from injuring one another, which shall leave them otherwise free to regulate their own pursuits of industry and improvement, and shall not take from the mouth of labor the bread it has earned. This is the sum of good government."
